Bio

HIGH-FIVE signed to Jive Records in late–1989 and released their eponymous debut album in 1990. The album went platinum and was produced by Teddy Riley; it included such singles as “I Just Can’t Handle It” (R&B #10), “I Can’t Wait Another Minute” (Pop #8, R&B #1), and their biggest hit to date, “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)”, which went to number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart

The group’s second LP, Keep It Goin’ On, came out in 1992 with “She’s Playing Hard To Get” (Pop #5, R&B #2) and the R. Kelly-penned “Quality Time” (Pop #38, R&B #3) got major airplay in East Coast (US) urban markets.

SOLO (the group)
They stand on the shoulders of giants and remind us what we’ve been missing in music. R&B is indeed alive, and SOLO is its future.

SOLO (the group) successfully references American soul legends without mimicking and yet continue to be, unlike any other R&B group. Their fans love their hits “Heaven,” “Where do you want me to put it,” “Touch me”, “Cupid,” and “Under the boardwalk,” Get ready to fall in love with them again.

With the release of “3.0 REBOOTED”- their new EP, SOLO delivers their distinctive brand of soul. They shine on new songs like the feel good first single “Gone,” the sexy male anthem “MF Keeper,” and sexy love tribute “Superfan,” SOLO successfully convinces us that they are R&B Souls true heirs apparent. Their sound is immediately identifiable and cuts through some of the mundane sounds currently on the radio.
