Education is the gateway to a future paved with opportunity. That gateway is facing significant challenges today as current, past and prospective scholars at North Carolina Central University (NCCU – www.nccu.edu) struggle to fund their education.
To help open the gateway, the Coastal (SC) Chapter of the NCCU Alumni Association presents the NCCU Jazz Ensemble in a scholarship benefit concert – “Jazz and a Taste of Motown”. Come and hear Motown and traditional jazz favorites, while helping to support the next generation of leaders and innovators.
All proceeds, after expenses, will benefit the NCCU Foundation, an approved not for profit organization. Tax deductibility code: 501 ( c ) (3). Beneficiaries in the NCCU Foundation as follows:
– Cheatham White Scholarship Fund
– Michelle D. Gaston Endowed Scholarship Fund
– NCCU Jazz Studies Program
